I am a retired veteran and, in spite of back problems from an auto accident, I consider myself in good health. My dental care history was basically on an as needed basis. My parents both had dentures for as long as I can recall and dental health was not stressed growing up. I volunteer at the West Michigan Veterans Center Food Bank where I still work as needed. The work has been very fulfilling and I am grateful for having had the opportunity. Without Volunteer for Dental this would not have happened. Thank you for providing this program. The dental care provided has been excellent. I was traumatized at age 10 by a dentist who subsequently lost his license to practice. As a result I have avoided contact with dentists unless it was an absolute emergency. The care I received as a result of this program has given me a new appreciation for dental professionals. Having had a variety of work done by several different dentists I have nothing but praise for their professional approach to their jobs.I am much more aware of what is necessary for good dental hygiene since being introduced to the Volunteer for Dental program and am very grateful to Suzanne Tanis for all she has done for me and others like me. Financially, I would not have been able to secure much of the treatment this program has afforded me. I have referred others to the program and will continue to do so. Again, my thanks to everyone involved in this program. No words can convey how much it has meant to me to be involved with Volunteer for Dental. Thank you.
